Child Protection at Northridge

If you are helping out with any ministry involving kids or youth – whether at Kids Church, Youth, Sunday services, or special events, you will need to have read and understood our relevant child protection documents. You also need to have completed our in-house training to indicate you understand the policy, and to have a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). The purpose of this page is to outline the steps required for you to complete your compliance, as simply as possible. Step 1—Working With Children Check

If you have a current WWCC, please send your number and date of birth to [email protected].

If you don’t have a current WWCC, follow these steps at the Service NSW website to obtain a WWCC. Note this is free for volunteers. When you have your number, please send it with your date of birth to [email protected].

Step 2—Complete the training

To keep training relevant and time-efficient for you, we have split up the training into 4 areas. The training you need to complete will depend on where you are serving—if in doubt, contact the CPO. Note that Children’s, Youth, and Church Services training also covers you for Events.

Serving across more that one area?

We have also provided shorter training packages if you have already successfully completed the Children’s Ministry training and are wanting to serve in either Youth and/or at Church Services.
