Sunday Service FAQs

If you’re after service times, our location, or info on parking, you’ve come to the right place! We have two communities that meet on Sundays, in both Thornleigh (Morning Community) and homes in the surrounding suburbs (Evening Community).

Which community should I visit?

You are welcome to visit either of our communities, or both! Our communities have their own 'flavour':

Our Thornleigh Morning Community has a relaxed family feel, with creche and dedicated children’s & youth programs. We meet at 9:30am at our Thornleigh location.

Our Thornleigh Evening Community is a multigenerational gathering with an intimate feel, and a heart for community. We meet at 5:00pm at our Thornleigh location.

Do you live stream your services?

Both our Morning and Evening Communities are streamed on Youtube each week! Be sure to check out our community pages for the right links.

Where is your Thornleigh location? Where do I park?

Our meeting space and offices are located at 6 Chilvers Road, Thornleigh (click here for a Google map). If you’re early you can park in our car park (look for the ‘Northridge’ banners on either side of our driveway). If the car park is full, on Sundays there is usually plenty of on-street parking on Chilvers Road too.

How long do services go for? What should I expect?

Each of our communities normally has a 90 minute service. A service usually involves a time of worship, a message from the bible, and a chance to pray for one another. Everything is by invitation—we won't make you pray, or sing if you don't want to. If you want more information about our services, take a look at our community pages (links at the bottom of this page).

While meeting in homes, the Evening community has a slightly shorter online service, with discussion and prayer ministry following in our Home Gathering groups.

Can I bring my kids?

Our Morning Community has a kids programme if you are coming in person — be sure to book (click here)!

Kids are most welcome at our Evening Community's Home Gatherings—get in touch if you want to get involved.

How formal is your church? What should I wear?

We love that you asked—church is pretty casual, so be comfortable! You don't have to wear your Sunday best, we want you to come and feel at home.

Do I have to give money if I come?

At Northridge, we believe that financial giving is family business—if you're new or visiting, you're welcome to be our guest. Of course you are welcome to give too, but our hope is that you won't feel pressured.
