Redeeming Grace
Anna shared on Sunday on Redeeming Grace. Grace teaches us that God loves because of who God is, not because of who we are. Categories of worthiness simply do not apply. By instinct we feel we must do something in order to be accepted, to earn our place in the world and the love and acceptance of others. This concept of earning is built into every human system- and our relationship to divine love is not exception. We work obsessively to please both other people and God. Only Christianity dares to make God's love unconditional. There is nothing that we can do to make God love us less. If we are truly to be God's image in this world- we too, need to learn how to step into God's grace and then reflect it to a world in need.
