Luke continued our series in Galatians - Heirs of the Gospel, looking at "The moment the Gospel gets practical". Peter at Antioch. He was eating with Gentile believers — crossing one of the ancient world's sharpest ethnic divides — and withdrew when people arrived whose opinion he valued more than the truth he was living. Paul confronts him publicly because this is not personal failure; it is a broken table - the shared table of Jew and Gentile was the gospel made visible, and Peter's withdrawal broke it. Galatians 2:20 lands as the way back: the self that needed approval has been crucified.
