Gospel of Mark
In Mark 10, a couple of Jesus' disciples approach Him and ask a pretty bold question. They want to sit at His left and right when he is raised up in glory. Jesus refuses them graciously, but when the other disciples get irritated by this exchange, it becomes a teaching moment. Jesus says words that would become leadership gold in the 21st Century—that whoever wants to be first must be last, and whoever wants to lead must take the position of a servant. It's a revolutionary, society-upending claim which Jesus embodied in His own leadership. In this edition of our Gospel of Mark series, Chris introduces us to Jesus as our leader, and draws out implications for our own lives.
